How many times in life do you get to hit things as hard as you want, with no
negative repercussions, and possible praise?
Hit Therapy is a boxing/kick boxing program designed to help a wide variety of
people meet their fitness desires. Russ and myself have been training
traditional karate for over 33 years combined. We value our education and have
worked to ensure we are educated in hitting things well.
For the Martial Artist: We will work on your hand and body conditioning as
well as ensure appropriate footwork, kinesiology, and power. This is an
excellent if not necessary addition to our Traditional Karate Classes located
inside CHAOS.
For the Stressed/Angry Person: Research shows that high intensity exercise
releases neurochemicals that make you feel better. While punching things is
simply a correlation to exercise, the catharsis felt by walloping a bag is
pretty undeniable.
For the parents of teenagers: See Above
For the physically gifted: Cardio is the word you will be tired to say. You
will have 30 minutes of kicking, punching, sweating, moving, crawling, and
exhaustion. It is my goal to find new ways to make that bag make you work.
For the, well, not physically gifted: This class is about you, not me. I will
give the class a recommendation, not requirement. You take breaks, drink
water, slow down as much as you need to begin. Your body will reward you, your
body will get stronger and fitter. I genuinely care about how person
in our gym is doing. I will create the accommodations you need to get you to
be where you want to be. You can also meet with trainers for a personal "get
started" session to go over one-on-one the basics.
For children: Short and Tiny people will not be questioned on their age. Who
ever is capable of listening and following directions will be allowed into Hit
Therapy. I would recommend talking to the trainers ahead of time with younger
children to they can talk about safety on the bags to the child.
